Abstract
:

Over the past few decades, agricultural productivity in India has increased significantly. However, there are still sizable yield gaps for a variety of crops all over the countryside. Many complicating factors, such as the predominance of subsistence farming and limited access to chemical inputs, improved technology, and management practices, can be used to explain why yield discrepancies persist. Fish and fisheries, as well as forest and forestry, are other sub-sectors of agriculture in addition to the study and practice of growing crops.
