PERCEIVED LEADERSHIP AND ROLE MODELLING OF JYOTIRMOYEE SIKDAR A STUDY ON PUBLIC OPINION

This study explores how the public views Indian politician and former athlete Jyotirmoyee Sikdar, highlighting how they see her leadership abilities and role modelling. Sikdar's remarkable athletic career and subsequent entry into politics provided the framework for analysing her influence outside of sports. Data was gathered from a varied sample of respondents using standardised survey questionnaires using a quantitative research approach. The results indicate that there is broad popular agreement—a sizable majority—that Sikdar is among the best athletes in Indian history. Additionally, a significant percentage of participants regard Sikdar as an exemplary figure, highlighting her capacity to encourage and uplift others. Furthermore, the evidence suggests that there is broad consensus about Sikdar's dislike of complaining about little things. These results underscore Sikdar's resonance as a leader and inspiration to Indian society and add to a more comprehensive understanding of her impact and legacy
